2017 Alsace had 15,500 hectares of productive vineyard (Source: CIVA.) Of this, 2,551 hectares had full organic certification or were in conversion. Of this, 880 ha were also certified Biodynamic by either Association Demeter France (50 estates) or the SIVCBD (18 estates), with 8 estates having both Demeter and SIVCBD (‘Biodyvin’) certification. This meant that 5.6% of the Alsace vineyard was Biodynamic.
2016 Alsace had X hectares (X acres) of productive vineyard (Source: CIVA.) Of this 2,173 hectares (5,215 acres) had full organic or Biodynamic certification and 223 hectares (551 acres) were in conversion (Source: OPABA 2017). The 2,396 hectares (5,918 acres) total represented % of the Alsace vineyard.
2015 Alsace had 15,600 hectares (38,532 acres) of productive vineyard (Source: CIVA.) Of this 2,078 hectares (5,132 acres) had full organic or Biodynamic certification and 281 hectares (694 acres) were in conversion (Source: OPABA 2017). The 2,359 hectares (5,918 acres) total represented 15.1% of the Alsace vineyard.
2014 Alsace had 15,545 hectares (38,396 acres) of productive vineyard (Source: CIVA.) Of this 1,979 hectares (4,888 acres) had full organic or Biodynamic certification and 307 hectares (758 acres) were in conversion (Source: OPABA 2017). The 2,286 hectares (5,646 acres) total represented 14.7% of the Alsace vineyard.
2013 Alsace had 15,527 hectares (38,351 acres) of productive vineyard (Source: CIVA.) Of this 1,759 hectares (4,334 acres) had full organic or Biodynamic certification and 447 hectares (1,104 acres) were in conversion (Source: OPABA 2017). The 2,206 hectares (5,448 acres) total represented 14.2% of the Alsace vineyard.
2012 Alsace had 15,503 hectares (38,292 acres) of productive vineyard (Source: CIVA.) Of this 1,541 hectares (3,806 acres) had full organic or Biodynamic certification and 585 hectares (1,445 acres) were in conversion (Source: OPABA 2017). The 2,126 hectares (5,251 acres) total represented 13.7% of the Alsace vineyard.

Of this 809 hectares (1,998 acres) had full organic or Biodynamic certification and 622 hectares (1,536 acres) were in conversion (Source: OPABA 2017). The 1,431 hectares (3,534 acres) total represented 9.2% of the Alsace vineyard.

Of this 780 hectares (1,926 acres) had full organic or Biodynamic certification and 481 hectares (1,188 acres) were in conversion (Source: OPABA 2017). The 1,261 hectares (3,114 acres) total represented 8.1% of the Alsace vineyard.

1997: In 1997 there were ‘7,000 growers in Alsace of which 2,000 own over two hectares [4.9 acres] and slightly over 1,000 growers bottle their own production.
