Abetone is Tuscany’s main ski resort, in the Apennine mountains in the Province of Pistoia in north-east Tuscany, Italy. It offers cross-country and piste ski-ing, plus ice-skating and snowboarding from December to March. Abetone was a commune in the Province of Pistoia in the Italian region of Tuscany, located about 50 miles (80 kms) northwest of Florence and about miles (49 kms) northwest of Pistoia. From 2017 Abetone has been a frazione of Abetone Cutigliano.
