Wildbacher | Red wine grape native to the Styria region of Austria, as Italy’s version of Wildbacher differs considerably from that made in Austria. As the variety has been on Italian soil for centuries, it is certainly a traditional variety of ltaly, just like Cannonau.

Wines | Veneto: Wildbacher is an authorised variety in Treviso province but grows only in the countryside around the towns of Pieve di Soligo, Collalto, Breda di Piave, and Vacil di Piave. Monovarietal wines are available as IGT Colli Trevigiani.

Viticulture | Small sized bunches and berries. Good vigour and good disease resistance.

Wine style | Rich and alcoholic. Ripe dark cherry and plum notes, plus noticeable forest floor and herbal tones. Smooth tannins.
