Red wines

Rosso di Montalcino DOC | 2012 20,000 bottles. Nice, plump, rich, chewy, then a bit stewed with arguably slightly aggressive acidity (Benvenuto Brunello 2014). | 2013 12,000 bottles. Aged in ‘botti’. Bit blurred and tight, youthful, needs time maybe, has plenty of flesh (Benvenuto Brunello 2015).

Brunello di Montalcino DOCG | 2000 Dirty wood (Benvenuto Brunello 2005). | 2009 28,000 bottles. Sweet fruit, rich, full ripe style, ripe warm berries (Benvenuto Brunello 2014). | 2010 16,300 bottles. Youthful, bit of funk (Benvenuto Brunello 2015). | 2011 Youthful, tannins a bit extracted, but plumptious fruit (Benvenuto Brunello 2016).

Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva | 2007 Rich, youthful, needs time to open, tight, decent weight (Benvenuto Brunello 2014). | 2009 6,666 bottles. Sweet and deep, some raisiny, dried fruit, average+ at Benvenuto Brunello 2015. | 2010 Exotically ripe red fruit, vanilla, extracted, plumptious (Benvenuto Brunello 2016).
