Valentin Blattner (b.1958) is a Swiss grape geneticist, grape breeder and winemaker based in the Jura region of France. Blattner has conducted key research finding disease-resistant grapes (PIWIs) in viniculture since the 1980s, and is best known for developing the Cabernet blanc variety in 1991 at his Soyhières nursery.
