Vacqueyras AOC dates from 1990 and covers still wines, primarily red with some white and rosé wines. The region lies lies along the banks of the River Ouvèze in the southern Rhône, France. The production zone comprises the two communes of Vacqueyras and Sarrians in the Vaucluse, between the Gigondas AOC to the north and Châteauneuf-du-Pape AOC and Beaumes de Venise AOC to the south.
