THANN is a commune in the Haut-Rhin department in the ALSACE AOC, 22 miles (35km) south-south-west of Colmar. Thann is renowned for the presence of the Alsace Grand Cru Rangen AOC vineyard which it shares with its neighbour to the south-east, Vieux-Thann. Thann and Vieux-Thann are the most southerly wine villages in Alsace.
