Sopron, wine region in Hungary. The Sopron region is predominately a red wine area. The Kékfrankos variety has a strong tradition in this area. Other international varieties like Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, and Syrah are also grown. Fehérburgundi (Pinot Blanc) is showing promise for white wines
