SHENGHAN WANG was born in China in 1988. Her father moved to the USA before she was born (he became an engineer). Her mother remained in China. In 2006 aged 18 she graduated from high school in the USA. She graduated in film from North Western University. She studied history and economics at Brown University (Rhode Island). She also graduated from the Le Cordon Bleu Wine and Management school in Paris in 2013 (aged 25). She is the founder of Lady Penguin and the guest taster for France’s leading wine guide Bettane&Desseauve. Lady Penguin is the most active wine community in China, and it owns a social media platform of 1.5 million fans and produces China’s most popular wine show with over 200 million views. In 2017, Shenghan was awarded as “30 Under 30” entrepreneur by Forbes China. The story of Lady Penguin is featured in media such as Bloomberg, Businessweek, ELLE, Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar.
