Serrapetrona, town in the Le Marche region of Italy which gives its name to the Vernaccia di Serrapetrona DOCG and Serrapetrona DOC. The town of Serrapetrona is noted for the pastel colour of its buildings. They lie on a hillside topped by a small stone castle with a turret. The architecture and lay of the land are said to be more reminiscent of France’s Languedoc than they are of Italy
