Raboso is a family of two distinct but closely related native Italian grape varieties called Raboso Piave and Raboso Veronese in that Raboso Veronese is an off-spring of a cross between Raboso Piave and Marzemina Bianca. The wines from both show high acid and very high or ‘angry’ (rabbioso in Italian, whence the name) tannin whilst the initially deep colour is soon lost.
