Poggio Torselli is an estate winery in San Casciano in Val di Pesa in the Chianti Classico region of Tuscany, Italy. The estate has 14th-century origins under the Da Casavecchia family who built the villa. The estate appeared on the land register from 1427 under the ownership of the Angiolini. Noble Tuscan families, such as the Machiavelli (from 1608 onwards), Strozzi, Orlandini Corsini (1668-1722) and Antinori (1864-1892) have lived here. New owners from 1999 renovated the estate’s vineyards and olive groves, adding a new winery in 2003. Chianti Classico DOCG red wines are made, as is a Vin Santo del Chianti Classico DOC and a Vin Santo del Chianti Classico DOC Occhio del Pernice are also made.
