Podere Albiano is located in Trequanda in Siena province, Tuscany. It makes Orcia DOC wines.
Founder-owners: Alberto Turri and Ada Anna Becheri.
Vineyards: In Petroio, a hilltop village, and surrounded by woodland. In 2002 the first vines were planted. 4ha. Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. 6,250 vines per ha. 400 metres. North-west (or East-west) facing. Natural airflow via Monte Amiata and from being between both the Val d’Orcia and the Val di Chiana valleys. The result is good day-night temperature swings, an adequate ventilation and rainfall.

Orcia Rosso DOC, Albiano: 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot
Orcia Rosso DOC, Ciriè: 2010 60% Sangiovese, 40% Merlot. French and Slavonian oak.
Orcia Rosso, Tribolo: The name means ‘tribulation’, referring to the stress of dealing with Sangiovese. | 2010 100% Sangiovese. Fermented and aged in Slavonian oak.
Petro: 2009 Bottled.
