Pecorello is a red wine grape variety grown in the Calabria region of Italy and is no relation to the white Pecorello Bianco.

Where grown: In Calabria  Pecorello can be called ‘Pecorino ‘by locals although there is no link to the Pecorino of Le Marche.  Pecorello is grown around Catanzaro and Cosenza in the Savuto DOC zone in Calabria and is used in blends.
