NATURAL SELECTION THEORY is a wine movement created in 2010 by Australian winemakers Anton van Klopper of Domaine Lucy  Margaux, Sam Hughes, James Erskine and Tom Shobbrook of Shobbrook Wines. Van Klopper describes the movement as ‘like free flow jazz, outrageous winemaking with no beat of security, only an endeavour to push the beyond of wine beyond its state present,’ (quoted in Isabelle Legeron, 2014, p194).
