Muscat de Rivesaltes AOC is a sweet, fortified white wine or Vin Doux Naturel from Rivesaltes and other communes (listed below) in the Roussillon region of France. The wine is made from Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains (aka ‘Muscat Blanc’ or ‘Muscat de Rivesaltes’) and/or Muscat of Alexandria (Muscat d’Alexendrie or ‘Muscat Romain’). The vines grow in the 98 communes listed below (encompassing the Rivesaltes AOC, Maury AOC and Banyuls AOC). Muscat de Rivesaltes is often drunk as an aperitif. The Muscat de Rivesaltes Noël AOC also comes from the same delimited area.
