Azienda Agricola Le Fornaci | Winery in the comune of San Gimignano in Tuscany, Italy. It produces white wine under the Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG and red wine under the San Gimignano Rosso DOC and Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG.  It also makes a San Gimignano Vin Santo DOC. The estate lies close to San Gimignano’s city walls. The views attracted noble Florentine families who holidayed here. Since the early 1700s the estate has belonged to the Magnorfi Rossi family, who have always produced wine and olive oil here, first as sharecroppers, then as owners.

Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG | 2011 Some skin contact. Citric, rich, some marmelade, OK (Anteprima 2013). | 2012 Good, quite rich (Anteprima 2013).

Red wines

Rosso di San Gimignano DOC | 100% Sangiovese. | 2002 Decent thick style, sherry oak though on nose, dry fruit tannin (during dinner at Fattoria di Larniano, 14 Feb 2005).
