I Casciani is an organic estate in Montespertoli, a commune in the Metropolitan City of Florence in Tuscany, Italy, about 20 kms southwest of Florence itself. This is a classic mixed farm, with animals, arable crops (for forage) and Chianti DOCG red wines. The estate also makes it own vinegar in Modena, in Emilia-Romagna.

Chianti DOCG, I Casciani: This exhibits the Sangiovese grape’s classic bitter note.

Villa Gaja: An internationally styled red, in which Sangiovese’s bitterness is softened by oak.
