GYPSY DANCER, estate in the Otago region on the south island of New Zealand. It was purchased in 2002 by Gary Andrus (see Pine Ridge in California and Archery Summit in Oregon), but he later placed the Pinot Noir-specialist winery into receivership. Andrus said he invested US$6.5 million in the project. Two low yield vintages in 2003 and 2004 had caused cash-flow issues.
