Grecian Fir (Abies cephalonica) grows wild in the mountains of Greece. Silver Firs (Abies) are distinguished from other conifers by their single needles and disc-like leaf scars flat on the twig. Both Grecian Fir and Spanish Fir are tall trees, up to 30 metres high, with stout trunks and pyramidal crowns. They have sharply pointed, rigid leaves.
