Azienda Agricola G.D. Vajra is an organic estate located in Frazione Vergne in Barolo, in the Piemonte (Piedmont) region of Italy. Red wines are made under the Barolo DOC and Dolcetto d’Alba DOC. The G.D. in the winery name refers to Giuseppe Domenico Vaira [sic], father of Aldo Vaira. But it was Aldo who founded the winery in 1972. The winery is in his father’s name because Aldo had not reached legal age yet.
