Tenuta Querciarossa is located in Magliano in Toscana in the Scansano region of south-west Tuscany. It produces Maremma Toscana DOC and Morellino di Scansano DOCG.

Vineyards

Querciarossa vineyard: Magliano in Toscana. Clayey-sandy and clayey-calcareous, shallow and arid; not homogeneous in its physical-chemical characteristics because of the nature itself of the limestone the soil was made from and because of the different conditions it encountered during its process of formation. The soil is rich in limestone, very low in assimilable nitrogen and phosphorous. Altitude: 250 metres.

Maremma Toscana Rosso DOC, Fulgente: Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Colorino, Montepulciano, Alicante, Ciliegiolo, Teroldego from the Querciarossa vineyard (see above).

Maremma Toscana Rosso DOC, Osa: Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet, Ciliegiolo from the Querciarossa vineyard (see above). | 2016 13.5% alc. L10S19. All spice aromas, tannins a bit pinched, sappy, light herb, simple (April 2020).

Morellino di Scansano DOCG, Rinaldone Dell’Osa: Sangiovese, Alicante (Grenache noir), Ciliegiolo. | 2014 13.5%. Simple straightforward red, tasted in May 2019.

Morellino di Scansano DOCG, Campo della Paura: From the Querciarossa vineyard in Magliano in Toscana. 95%, 5% Merlot.
