Fattoria Il Palagio is an estate in Località Il Palagio in the the San Gimignano region of Tuscany in Italy. The main building is a mansion, once the residence of the Tortoli Matteucci marquises. Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG white wines are made, plus Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG reds.

Owner: The Zonin family since 1980. Walter Sovran has worked with the Zonin family on white wines.

Terroir: Almost 350 hectares of land. Hilly terrain between Volterra and San Gimignano. The area is one of the centres of activity of the ancient Roman and Etruscan settlements. The well-structured, strongly clayey soil that characterizes the vineyards is essential to guarantee the water supply to the vines in the hot summer months.

Vineyards–Fattoria Il Palagio: About 100 hectares of vineyards at an average altitude of 300 m a.s.l.

Vineyards–Fattoria Abbazia Monteoliveto: Soils of marine origin, composed of yellow sands and clays. Continental climate. 18ha of vines. Also olives.
