Azienda Agricola Paradiso di Fastelli Mauro was an estate winery in Località Paradiso in Montalcino in Tuscany, Italy. Mauro Fastelli was one of the 16 founder-members of the Brunello Consorzio. Mauro Fastelli’s family bought the estate in 1965. Vines were planted from 1970. The first Brunello was produced (15,000 bottles) in 1979.The estate produced wines under the Sant’Antimo Rosso DOC, Rosso di Montalcino DOC and Brunello di Montalcino DOCG. Paolo Vagaggini consulted. It was sold in 2018 and was re-named Paradiso di Cacuci.

Vineyards: 6.5ha (16 acres) of land of which 4.5ha of Sangiovese. Northwest of Montalcino. 350 m (1,135 ft.). Northeast facing on the Montalcino hill, so not exposed to the Mediterranean heat. 6.5 hectares of land, of which 5 hectares is under vine. There are 3,000 square metres of olive groves. Near Il Paradiso di Frassina.

Red wines

Brunello di Montalcino DOCG: 2000 Bit high tone and light, but for sure has decent crispness and is also quite distinctive, perhaps could be more ambitious yield-wise but not bad (Anteprima 2005).
