Colline Metallifere, a range of hills in Tuscany’s Antiapennine in the central west part of Tuscany, and other provinces on the Tuscan coast, namely Livorno (Leghorn), Pisa, Siena, and Grosseto. The name Colline Metallifere translates as ‘metal-bearing’ or metalliferous hills. The area has a history of metallurgy and mining for 3,000 years.
