Colli Perugini DOC: DOC in Umbria dating from 1982. The name translates as Perugia Hills. The Colli Perugini DOC area is located just south of Perugia, along the right bank of the Tiber which crosses the hills of central Umbria, between Perugia itself and Todi. The DOC covers still wines of all three colours from six communes in Perugia (PG) province and one in Terni (TR) province.

Wines

Colli Perugini + named grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Grechetto, Merlot, Sangiovese, Trebbiano and Pinot Grigio are made from 85-100% of the variety named on the label plus an optional 0-15% authorised varieties of the same colour.

Colli Perugini Spumante DOC: Fully sparkling. 80-100% Chardonnay, Grechetto, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio or Pinot Nero in any combination. Optional 0-20% other permitted white varieties.

Colli Perugini Bianco DOC: Trebbiano Toscano (50-100%), and any other permitted white varieties (up to 15%).

Colli Perugini Rosato DOC: Same blend as for Colli Perugini Rosso DOC, below.

Colli Perugini Rosso DOC Novello: Same blend as for Colli Perugini Rosso DOC, below.

Colli Perugini Rosso DOC: 50-100% Sangiovese, 0-50% other permitted red varieties.
