Clos de Gamot is an estate winery in the commune of Prayssac in the Cahors AOC region of South West France.

Owner: Jean Jouffreau. His family has been making wine at Gamot since 1610.

Vineyards: 100% Malbec. Double guyot. Low yields.

Organics:  Back labels here have stated that although the wines were made without the use of chemicals and herbicides the owners eschewed certification due to the “bureaucracy”. In 2019 the estate had no organic certification (Source: Agence Bio).
