Château Labory is located in Saillans in the Fronsadais on the right bank of the Bordeaux region. Its Fronsac AOC vineyards are run in tandem with those of Château Barbey (which see) by the Trocard family, owners since 1628 when it was called La Borie, meaning ‘the border’, in this case between the parishes of Saillans and Fronsac. Denis Trocard has been making Château Labory and Château Barbey since 2010, accompanied by his wife Cécile and his daughters.

Winery: The winery dates from 1628.

Vineyards: 10ha. The high point is 53 metres. Clay-limestone over Fronsac molasse. A site needing plenty sun, it seems.
