Château Bourgneuf-Vayron is located in Pomerol on Bordeaux’s right bank. Red wines are made under the Pomerol AOC.

Owner: Charles and Xavier Vayron. Owned by the Vayron family since 1821. Since 2008, the wine is made by the youngest Vayron to join the family venture, Frédérique, the daughter of current owners Xavier and Dominique.

Vineyards: Between Château Trotanoy and Château Latour à Pomerol. On a gentle slope, west-facing (hence some plots were spared from the great frost of 1956). Merlot and Cabernet Franc. On gravelly clay enhanced by an iron-rich subsoil (‘crasse de fer‘).

Winemaking: Temperature controlled concrete tanks. Ageing in oak barrels (35% new) for 12-14 months.
