Château Andron-Blanquet is an estate in Saint Estèphe on the left bank of the Bordeaux region. It produces red wine under the Saint Estèphe AOC. ‘Andron is the name of one of the families who can be traced, as proprietors of the village of Blanquet, back to 1662,’ (David Peppercorn MW: 1991, p.192).

Owner: Domaines Audoy who also own Château Cos Labory.

Background: Formerly owned by the Andron, Coucharrière and Lequad familes. In 1971 it was bought by the Audoy family. In 1994 Château Andron Blanquet ceased being the second wine of the above mentioned Château Cos Labory.

Classification: Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel.

Vineyards: 16ha in the southern part of Saint Estèphe at Cos. Cabernet Franc (15%), Cabernet Sauvignon (60%) and Merlot (25%). 8,700 vines/ha.

Organic certification: 2017 No (Agence Bio).
