Cantine del Notaio di Giuratrabocchetti is an organic estate in the Vulture region of Basilicata, Italy.

Owner: Gerardo Giuratrabocchetti.

Background: The estate was founded in 1998 by Gerardo Giuratrabocchetti, who has a degree in Agricultural Science, together with his wife Marcella. Oenology professor Luigi Moio advised on Aglianico.

Estate vineyards: 26ha in the Mont Vulture area (the villages of Rionero, Barile, Ripacandida, Maschito and Ginestra). Some vines are more than a hundred years old. These areas have different soils, (sand, volcanic residue, medium consistency or clay) but the same layer of volcanic tufo in common.

Wine rangeCantine del Notaio utilizes Aglianico del Vulture grapes to produce three red wines, (La Firma, Il Repertorio and Il Sigillo), one rosé (Il Rogito), one traditional method (‘metodo classico’) sparkling wine, the spumante (La Stipula), and one sweet white (L’Autentica). The wine names all derive from the ancient Roman and Italian profession of the notary, a combination of lawyer, conveyancer and public commissioner for oaths.

Sparkling wines

La Stipula Rosè Metodo Classico Millesimato: 2005 Aglianico.
