Barile is a town and commune in the Province of Potenza, in the Southern Italian region of Basilicata. It lies within the production zone for the Aglianico del Vulture red wines. Barile is bounded by the comunes of Ginestra, Rapolla, Rionero in Vulture, Ripacandida, and Venosa. The town is an ancient Arbëreshë or Italo-Albanian settlement, and the population still maintains strong links with that culture.
