Baracchi is a wine producer in Cortona, Tuscany making wine under the Cortona DOC. The family has made wine since at the time of the unification of Italy. The villa dates from the 17th-century (now a ‘relais’ for agritourism).

Brut Trebbiano: Traditional method. Riccardo Baraccò was among the first is Cortona to make sparkling wines. from a Sangiovese–Trebbiano blend.

Astore: Trebbiano Toscana made like a res (skin contact).

IGT Toscana Rosso, Ardito: 2010 50% each Syrah & Cabernet Sauvignon. £30-59.99. Tanky, green, not that clean, cigar leaf and a palate dried out possibly by Brett. 13 Points. No medal at DWWA 3rd May 2013. | 2016 50% Syrah, 50% Cabernet sauvignon. 24m in barrel.

Cortona Rosso DOC, Smeriglio Syrah: 2010 100% Syrah. Oaked. £15-29.99. Spicey minty oak with open raspberry fruit and soft red plums, sweet ripe fruit on the palate, has masses of vanilla cherry, young, give it time. Silver at DWWA 02nd May 2013.
