Arbois AOC is the most well known appellation in the Jura region of eastern France. The production zone comprises 12 communes around the the town of Arbois.

Vineyard area & wine production: 2002 37,575hl from 842ha of which 22,521 of red and rosé wines, 14,516hl of white and Vin Jaune wines, 539hl of Vin de Paille and 260hl of sparkling wine (Guide Hachette des Vins 2004, p.677).
