Alto Adige DOC Riesling, white wine wine made from a minimum 85% Riesling grown in Alto Adige (Südtirol) in northern Italy (see Alto Adige DOC). It can be made as a ‘passito’ or ‘vendemmia tardiva’ or ‘riserva’. The variety arrived from Germany in the nineteenth century. In contrast to German wines, these Rieslings are fermented dry, for the most part leaving little or no residual sugar. Found mainly in higher, cooler regions eg. Oltradige, Isarco Valley or Eisacktal (see Valle Isarco DOC), Val Venosta and Merano. Gravel soils.

Vineyard Area: 2018 77ha.

Typical flavours: Peach, citrus aromas, lively acidity.
