Ruffino is a merchant wine grower based in Castellina-in-Chianti in the Chianti Classico DOCG region of Tuscany. As well as red wines such as Chianti DOCG , a sweet Vin Santo del Chianti Classico DOC is also made.

Ruffino was born in 1877 in Pontassieve from the intuition of two cousins, Ilario and Leopoldo. In 1895 the Chianti Ruffino won gold medal in Bordeaux. In the early 1900s Ruffino became  as a synonym of Italian wine in the world through Chianti. In 1927 Riserva Ducale was created after the Duke of Aosta who had chosen this wine to lay the tables of the court of the King of Italy. Ruffino also created the iconic fiasco bottle which came to symbolise Chianti.
