Rosemary George MW was one of the first women to pass the exams to become a Member of the Institute of Masters of Wine in 1979. She became a freelance wine writer in 1981 and has written a number of books covering the Languedoc, Chablis, Tuscany and New Zealand as well as contributing to numerous publications. She is a specialist in the wines of the Languedoc in France as well as Italy, particularly Tuscany.
