REGGIANO DOC, formerly called Lambrusco Reggiano (until 1996) is a red wine made in both still and sparkling forms. The sparkling wine is based on the Lambrusco Marani variety from around Reggio Emilia in Emilia, the western part of Emilia-Romagna in north-east Italy. This area is also known for its parmesan cheese (‘parmigiano reggiano’).
