MONTEFALCO DOC is a denomination for both red and dry white wines (see below) in the Montefalco region of Umbria, Italy.

WINES

MONTEFALCO BIANCO DOC | White wine made from 50-100% Grechetto, and Trebbiano Spoletino. / 2017 Montefalco Bianco DOC represented about 2.5% of the Montefalco DOC’s total production in 2017. 

MONTEFALCO GRECHETTO DOC | White wine made from 85-100% Grechetto and 0-15% other grapes.2017 Montefalco Grechetto DOC represented about 9% of the Montefalco DOC’s total production in 2017. 

MONTEFALCO ROSSO & MONTEFALCO ROSSO RISERVA DOC | Unlike Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG and Montefalco Sagrantino Passito DOCG the Montefalco Rosso DOC is not made exclusively from Sagrantino, but from Sangiovese and other grapes as follows:  60-80% Sangiovese, 10-25% Sagrantino, and 0-30% other grapes.
