AMARONE DELLA VALPOLICELLA CLASSICO, PERGOLA VECE | 2015. 40% each Corvina and Corvinone, 20% Rondinella and Oseleta. 20% oak aged. Interesting aromas, a mix of dark plum, horse saddle, followed by rum and raisin notes on the palate, with a slightly drying finish. I would enjoy its exuberant side now and over the next 4 years or so, no point waiting, it will dry out (tasted blind for Decanter in London 17 Jan 2019).
