I like the shape of this wine, has a natural feel to it in terms of fruit-tannin expression and wood-tannin expression. Lots of clarity, typicity. Very good (tasted blind for Decanter in London 17 Jan 2019).
AMARONE DELLA VALPOLICELLA CLASSICO RISERVA, CATERINA ZARDINI | 2014 50% Corvina, 20% Corvinone, 30% Rondinella. 15.5%. 6g/l residual sugar.Very appealing, bright aromas with clear red fruits, soft, no evidence on either nose or palate of exagerrated use of oak (it aged 18 months in French oak). Balanced and clear, lovely flavours, wild red fruits as if freshly picked (tasted blind for Decanter in London 17 Jan 2019).
