Château d’Yquem is a estate in Sauternes on the left bank of the Bordeaux region. It produces Bordeaux Blanc AOC and Sauternes AOC white wines.

Owner: LVMH purchased Yquem in 1999 from the Lur-Saluces family (see Château de Fargues) who had owned it for the previous 406 years. In 1997 LVMH had taken a 55% stake in the estate after Eugene de Luc-Saluces of the owning family had, with other family members endorsed a sale.

Bordeaux Blanc AOC, Ygrec: The name translates as the letter ‘y’ when spoken in French.

Sauternes AOC, Château d’Yquem: 2012 Not made.
